This Division of Vela VKE has extensive experience in all aspects of rural and urban road design.  This includes Urban and Rural Freeways, Arterials, local access roads, township streets, low-cost gravel roads, Road Management Systems, pavement rehabilitation and pavement and maintenance management.

Vela VKE’s technical specialists have always been at the forefront of technological innovation and have made significant contributions to the development of the extensive list of standards, codes of practice and related manuals which are today available in Southern Africa.  Vela VKE has been instrumental in developing and implementing Road Management Systems Services for over 20 years to a range of clients including National, Provincial and local authorities.

Director - Dawie Erasmus

Dawie Erasmus (BSc, Civil Engineering,  GDE) has 27 years experience in Civil Engineering and management projects.  Dawie is registered both as a Professional Engineer and a Professional Construction Project Manager. Dawie oversees the Roads Division and enjoys outdoor recreation, history, painting and classic car restoration.
